What you get by achieving you goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.” ~ Henry David Thoreau

Only 3% of people have clear specific goals, and guess what? People who actually take the time to think about and write goals are the ones most likely to achieve them.

As the year comes to a close, reflect on 2018, have you thought about your goals?

Goals help us provide focus, shape our dreams, allow us to sharpen our actions and cause us to stretch and grow.

10 years ago I won a national award: Chiropractor of the Year.

After that happened I had hundreds of doctors from all over the country reach out to me for advice and wisdom. How was I able to grow my business and maintain a very large patient base? How was I able to get amazing staff people that stay with me for decades?

Much of what I shared with them was simple: Have a vision and set clear goals.

So how do you set realistic goals?

Rule #1: Set goals that motivate you

Rule#2: Set specific, measurable goals

Rule #3: Set goals in writing

Rule #4: Make an action plan

Rule #5: Stick with it

I sincerely hope this helps you and your family reflect on 2018 and make plans for 2019.

Think about it and check out my next blog post with more suggestions and details.
