A Chiropractic Miracle?
In the last blog, we talked about one of my favorite patients who had been under a lifetime of chiropractic care and lifestyle. She lived a long, healthy life.
But sometimes patients don’t experience chiropractic care until later. Even patients who haven’t had chiropractic care until their 70’s or 80’s can benefit!
Jim, age 78, was dragged into the office by his wife who has been a patient for years.
He could barely walk. We had to get an office chair to roll him into the exam room. His back pain and neck pain were so intense he could not take a deep breath and could barely talk. He was bent forward at the waist.
I knew Jim had bouts of pain with his back and neck for years.
His doctor had prescribed muscle relaxers, pain killers, and steroids. He was now on stomach and kidney meds due to the damage from those drugs.
Jim’s X-rays showed severe degeneration throughout his spine but the vertebrae were not fused.
I knew it would be a long haul but was hopeful he would respond well. Jim was finally desperate enough to follow our plan.
He began with daily adjustments and mild exercises. His forward “stuck” posture responded immediately and he could take a deep breath!
Over several months the pain receded, his motion increased and his balance improved.
Jim was able to return to his favorite game, golf, that he hadn’t been able to play for the last 10 years.
He even admitted his game was better than ever.
Jim is off all of his medications and his stomach and kidney function has improved.
He and his wife are now able to travel again and have gone on some amazing adventures.
This is what could be called a miracle, but we know it’s just how the body naturally responds when it is in alignment!

Who wouldn’t want to feel better as they get older? This is not a dream, it’s a reality (or what we sometimes refer to as a Chiropractic Miracle), for many of our patients.
