Well it is allergy season again and some folks are miserable. Are you miserable?
I used to be. Spring tree pollen, fall ragweed, cats, melon, pineapple, and bananas all tortured me. I couldn’t go outside, eat watermelon in the summer or visit friends with cats. My eyes would itch, burn and water; my nose would run and eventually would end up with a sinus infection. No way to live.
Eight years ago a chiropractic friend told me about cold laser systems for allergies and I investigated.
Those of you who are patients know how cautious I am about bringing anything into the office; plus this system cost over $50,000. I talked to dozens of doctors using the system and everyone was encouraging.
I finally found one in Cincinnati, an allergist. He told me it had changed his practice that he was no longer doing needle testing or shots. This system was so much more effective. So I told him I would come in as a patient and if I found it successful, would refer patients. But no he was moving his practice to North Carolina.
We purchased the system and I was the first guinea pig. Miracles occurred.
I had noticed improvement but the true test came when I went to a friend’s home in the country during ragweed season, who has four cats and he served a melon salad. My husband looked at me and said, “Do not eat that or we are going to end up in the E.R.” But I had to put it to the test. I ate the salad and let the cats sit on my lap for two hours. I felt great.
The best part is freedom.
I can open windows, garden, swim in our pool, eat watermelon and have even considered getting a kitty but our two dogs and my husband have put their feet and paws down on that idea.
Hundreds of patients and our office manager, Carol have had the same results.
