The worst part of my job is consulting with a new patient and hearing how the headaches, back pain, sciatica, carpal tunnel (put in any symptom) have gone on for years. They have been prescribed numerous drugs that didn’t help but caused stomach, kidney, heart, liver etc. problems and their doctors have told them chiropractic wouldn’t help.
The best part is when I CAN help with chiropractic care the and the patient is filled with hope and gratitude.
On Sunday September 3rd the Columbus Dispatch did an article on our practice. Very soon after, a new patient came in from reading the Dispatch article.
This new patient has been in agony for 10 years. She has been prescribed pain meds, anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxants, injections and four courses of physical therapy. When I asked why she hadn’t tried chiropractic, she said her doctor told her it would do no good.
When I called to check on her after her first adjustment, she cried. She said for the first time in years she was able to cook dinner without needing to lie down because of the horrible pain.
My hope for this article is that people will understand there is an alternative to drugs; there is an alternative to the madness of the pain medication epidemic; there is an alternative to expensive dangerous treatment of symptoms.
We want people to own their health and not their illness.
We know that many of you are frustrated when you try to refer friends who you know could be helped; so the last week of this month we are having a “Bring a friend” week.
From September 25th to the 30th, bring in a friend, co-worker, family member or neighbor and let them get to know our office.
To thank you- your adjustment will be at no charge and your guest will have a consult with one of the doctors at no charge.
You can refer them to this blog post and to the Columbus Dispatch article. There’s also an article in Columbus CEO Magazine you can refer them to! I am so grateful for all of this press as it gives chiropractic and holistic care just that much more credibility.
Share the articles and spread the word that we CAN take control of our health without the overuse of drugs and doctors appointments.
With gratitude and thanks to all my patients and those who want to make the world a healthier, happier place,
Dr. Julia Keiser
